Jeff Popka

With over 25 years of unwavering dedication to the indie music and restaurant/venue industry, Jeff Popka stands as a visionary force.

A trailblazer who's worn many hats, he's owned and operated two music venues, orchestrated and produced three national indie music tours, and curated multiple indie festivals, including an impressive decade-long stint during SXSW.

Jeff's influence extends into the realm of journalism, where he's a published indie music scribe. He's also held the mantle of CEO at an independent record label, leaving his mark on the industry's landscape.

Not content with just one passion, Jeff was the driving force behind "Indie on Air" and "Cookies N Beer," demonstrating his multifaceted talents.

As the current CEO of True Heart Records headquartered in Evansville, IN, Jeff continues to champion the underdogs of the world.

Jeff Popka's journey is a testament to the power of passion, creativity, and a relentless pursuit of supporting the independent spirit in music and beyond.

Production Manager

Tracey Mears

With over 30 years of experience in the music industry, Tracey Mears has built a distinguished career in live event production.

A native of Evansville, Indiana, Tracey has toured nationally, playing an integral role in shows featuring legendary acts such as Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Creed, Fuel, B.B. King, Johnny Cash, REO Speedwagon, and Crosby, Stills & Nash, among many others.

His expertise extends beyond production, having owned and operated his own lighting company.

In addition, Tracey served as the Production Director at Indie on Air Records, where he continued to innovate and elevate live events across the industry.

Interactive Manager

Steve Wright

Steve Wright from Taupo, New Zealand, has had a dynamic music career across continents.

Starting as a Concert Coordinator for the Society of Australian Songwriters (SAS), he directed Australian Music Day and edited Songwriter Connections, turning it into a syndicated magazine.

He also hosted the SAS Songwriter Show on Sydney’s radio 2SER FM

Also with EMI Publishing Australia, he co-arranged a unique version of The Beatles' "Get Back" with Potion, authorized by Paul McCartney, and earned an APRA nomination for “Unashamed.”

He founded Sugar Gliders and released "Revolution Girl," performing at Texas Indie Fest.

Now, as Interactive Manager at True Heart Records in Evansville, IN, USA, he helps launch initiatives like the Digital Manager Program and Heartstrings concert series. Wright's vast experience and innovation make him a valuable asset to True Heart Records and the global music community.
